Obtaining Assistance for the Improvement of productivity in Low Productive EAC Lands
Who can apply :
Farmers or Estates growing Cinnamon, Pepper, Coffee, Cocoa, Cardamom, Clove, Nutmeg and have low productive lands and with over 25% crop vacancies in their lands
Assistance Provided by the DEA under the Scheme :
- Required no. of planting material, based on vacancies in land, at50 % charge
- Technical advices
Eligibility Criteria :
- Minumum eligible land extent – (1/4 Ac.)
- Must have Proffs of the ownership of the land. Plan of the land is necessary for lands over 2 ha
Application procedure :
- At 8.30 a.m – 4.15 p.m on wednestays to the Extension Officer based at the nearest Agrarian Service Centres
- At 8.30 a.m – 4.15 p.m on office days to the Assistant Directors Office
Fees Payable to Obtain Services :
Only Rs. 10.00 stamp at the time of application
How to Provide the service :
Extension Officer of the area will personally inspect the applicants’ land and if eligibility criteria are fulfilled the land will be registered with he scheme. After the completion of recommended practices plants and financial rewards will be issued. This financial grant can be used for fertilizer as well, if required.
Time taken to provide the Service :
2-6 months after the application
